Mmm... it's time for some fall cooking, and my favorite way to make easy, hot meals for my family is with my Crock-Pot! ?While I usually experiment with an assortment of gravies and homemade sauces, I admit that there are times I would love to have it all figured out for me. ?That's why the new Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes are so exciting!
We tried the new Savory Pot Roast mix today, and I was very impressed with the deep flavors. ?I just threw in a roast and all my roast fixins' (carrots, potatoes, baby onions) and then poured the dry seasoning packet mixed with one cup of water on top. ?After 8 hours of slow cooking, everything was ready. ?I did add a little extra water than what the recipe on the back called for, but I like my "gravy" to be more of a sauce. ?This way, we could dip warm pieces of bread into the juice -- like a french dip!
Some of the varieties available include Hearty Beef Stew and BBQ Pulled Pork. ?If you are new to using the Crock-Pot or just want to make sure you have the perfect meal for company, these are great products to try!
